11-10-25 Kuddles is the most beautiful girl who has come to us from a breeder, ready to start her new life. She is a very sweet girl but is very scared and overwhelmed to find herself here and is very frightened by all the noises and will cower to the ground. Once she gets to know you, she will gently approach you for a little fuss and seems to enjoy this. We think with time, love and patience she will soon start to come out of her shell and really start to blossom. Kuddles will be looking for a calm and quiet home, with adopters who have plenty of time to spend with her. She will need another kind and confident male resident dog in her new home to take her under their wing and help her to learn all about her new life. She doesn't like to share her space with female dogs, so all dogs in her new home would need to be male. She has never lived in a home before so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. Kuddles is a begginer to walking on a lead and will need some more practice to master this, but we think she is going to love going for walks with her new family. It's Kuddle's birthday at the end of February and we really hope she's adopted in time to celebrate this in her forever home, so please don't leave her waiting too long!
08-02-25 UPDATE
Kuddles has been treated for a sore and ulcerated ear canal, but this is now looking much better and she is doing well.
17-02-25 UPDATE
Kuddles has been in foster here with my 4 big dogs for 7days and is definitely starting to trust. She is also playing a bit with the others. However around food time she becomes scared and will only eat off of the floor. She will drink water from the bowl and will take a treat from our hands. She is house trained. Kuddles has not met any cats or children. She doesn't appear to be a flight risk, but I keep a trailing lead on her and haven't tried lead walking yet. She looks old, but her teeth are white and she wants to join in the games of my young dogs, so I think it's right that she is just about to turn 6. Kuddles is slightly taller than a staffie and really is the sweetest little dog who just needs time and definitely a male companion dog.
24-02-25 UPDATE
Kuddles has progressed in leaps and bounds this week. She sleeps all through the night, is completely clean in the house and doesn't mind the TV, washing machine or hoover. She only darts away if a metal bucket or watering can are accidentally kicked but she is soon back. Kuddles is starting to walk on the lead in the field using a harness and is very good at having her nasal folds cleaned.
Kuddles transport is sponsored by Sue Watkins through their donation for the Gift of Life. This donation has meant we were able to rescue and bring her to us to find her forever family and to be loved the way she was meant to. Thank you.
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
