22-12-24 Saint has come from a home situation where her owner was made homeless and made the devastating decision to rehome her dogs. Saint and her friends have been very well loved and cherished and we have made a promise to their owner that we will do our very best by them, just like she did. Saint could be homed as an only dog as long as her adopter had plenty of time for her.
Saint is described as having a friendly demeanor and truly loves everyone and everything and thinks everyone is a potential friend. She loves to put her paws up on you for cuddles and even does the cutest smile! She loves to sit on your lap if given the chance. She loves a cuddle and has chosen to sleep with her previous owner on her bed. We are told that the she loves to sleep on top of their human and do lots of zoomies round the garden. Saint can walk well on a harness, but doesn't enjoy being on a collar and lead and she needs a lot of work with her recall and was only let off lead in secure areas. Saint will be looking for an active home where she can be kept both physically and mentally stimulated. Her previous owner would walk her for at least 2 hours per day.
04-01-25 UPDATE
Saint is such a beautiful and incredibly gentle girl! While Saint is still a little unsure of us people still, she absolutely loves a fuss when her confidence and trust grows with you and is just the sweetest darling around. While still underweight, we have her on 3 feeds a day to get her back up-to a healthy weight, but I don’t think this will take long as she loves her food. Saint gets on incredibly well with other dogs and is more than happy sharing her space or food with others and is just a generally sweet and kind lady.
Saint is a mega friendly big puppy; she greets everything and everyone with enthusiasm and curiosity. Although we don’t definitively know her breed mixture, she looks like an Afghan Hound shape with a Yellow Labrador coat. So, perfect for someone who would like an Afghan Hound with no dog grooming costs. Saint loves going out for long walks and is very happy travelling in the car. She is desperate to be off lead, but we can only do that in enclosed fields as her recall is poor, in the evening she loves to snuggle in her favourite doggy chair. We will continue to teach Saint simple commands which I’m sure she will learn quickly.

Hi I’m Saint the Afador (see what I did there). I mostly like doing zoomies around the field, then a snack. Exploring all the smells around the field and exploring, then breakfast. Greeting other dogs, then lunch. Saying hello to all the humans we meet on our walk, then a snack. Snuggling in my favourite furry dog chair, then supper. Watching Winter Watch, especially the raptors, they make we want to fly. Ending the day with a short outing to make the night comfortable for me I am looking to adopt a human owner who likes the great outdoors and can join me on my exploring exploits. I’m a friendly girl and get on well with my mate Cadu the Weimaraner, but I’m not sure about cats, I haven’t met one up close yet. I’m not a fan of being left alone for too long and I do get tempted to chew, so the humans I foster have got me some tasty chew items, bless them! Do watch my video and admire the sleek running action of a budding athlete. Well time for my nap, so toodle loo for now, I’ll keep you posted.
Hello I’m Gillian, Saints foster person. My partner and I are already so fond of Saint, she is such a lovely dog. Saint is gentle, affectionate, curious and has the potential to become a loyal and faithful companion. She is very strong willed and determined, so she will need someone with a willingness and time to conduct training sessions and join in the exercise regime. When Saint has had a good run she is more than happy to curl up and snooze.
