14-12-24 Nia is a gorgeous Weimeraner who has come from her breeder to find a loving home. She has arrived with conjunctivitis which our vet is treating.. She is a busy, bouncy girl who defies her age with her strength! She is a happy girl who is very intelligent but can be a little skittish. She is into absolutely everything and loves to be nosey and check everything out. Nia would love to live with other dogs and is kind to her kennel friends. Nia can walk on a lead already and will need a very active home where she can run off her energy which will help her feel more content and stimulated. She is a real sweetheart! She may need to learn all about house training and other home skills but we have the feeling shes going to just love her new way of life.

Nia is a beautiful, gentle girl. I've been lucky enough to work with her quite a bit since she's arrived and she is just so lovely to work with. She greets you full of affectionate and always wanting a cuddle. She absolutely loves to play especially with her kennel friend so I think a home with another dog will be perfect for beautiful Nia. She also walks lead and does really try to keep her kennel clean. I don't believe she has lived in a home before but I think she will learn her new routine excellently as she did here! If you are looking for a dog that will shower you in love. Then Nia is definitely your girl. Nia had had conjunctivitis recently and has been given drops, she is getting better by the days. The vet also noticed that Nia's skin was inflamed in her mammary region, she is now on topical treatment for 10 days and the vet will reassess the issues.
18-02-25 UPDATE
Nia has been in foster with us for a few weeks and she is the sweetest girl!
She is really clever and has got the hang of toilet training quickly and has also learnt to sit.
Nia has never walked on a lead before and although she is enjoying her walks where it is quiet she loses her confidence in busier places or when meeting other dogs and hangs back behind the others. She is trying to be brave and we know this will get better with practice. It says above that Nia is strong but she isn't that bad. We think she just gets initially excited about where we are going and she's all over the place but it settles down quite quickly.
Nia's favourite thing is being snuggled up with her humans or another dog for a nap and strokes. She desperately loves that company so we are looking for adopters that are round a lot of the time. Nia has that typically scatty Weimaraner personality and that coupled with her desire to be friends with everyone can sometimes put a couple of our dogs off. She would love another medium/ large sized dog or more that also love snuggling for her to feel right at home.
We also feel that Nia could be homed with calm older children
Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
