31-10-2024 Meet Calipso, she is a lovely little lady that has come to us from a home where many dogs were being hoarded and neglected in a small space. She is a shy girl but after some time she will approach you and accept fuss as long as you are calm and slow.
Calipso is showing us that she wants to be loved and is just unsure about human kindness but with time we know she is going to shine so bright.
Calipso will need a home with another resident dog or dogs as she has always been around other dogs and another dog will help her settle into her new forever home and also give her a helping paw with training.
Calipso will need to be taught house manners such as toilet training and how to walk on a lead. She will need adopters that are able to give her unlimited time and patience to help her settle in and come out of her shell, she already shows us how much she wants to be loved so we know she won't take long to understand human kindness.
Calipso is currently being treated for sore skin but with treatment and a good diet she should start to feel much better soon.

24-12-24 UPDATE

Calipso's fur has come on nicely and she has a lovely shine to her coat now which you can see in the pictures! She is a very clever little girl who just loves to cuddle. She walks very nicely on a leash, a little nervous around bigger dogs but growing in confidence daily and wags her tail with delight when you say walkies. Whilst she may have a few accidents settling in she is a fast learner and is currently clean in the house with regular toilet breaks. She also loves to play fetch with a bouncy ball. She does however like to play chase with the house cat so for this reason It would be recommended she has a cat free home. She is very much a people person and could potentially be homed as an only dog in the right circumstance. 

20-02-2025 UPDATE

Calipso has been settling into daily life. She loves to sofa surf, and have lots of cuddles. This week her foster buddy has been adopted and she is ready to find her own personal human. House training is going well with minimal accidents. Calipso is learning about the big wide world. She likes her walks and is making daily progress. This week Calipso has been learning how to sit. She is such a clever girl.
