If you are interested in adopting a dog that does not say it can be homed with a cat and wish us to cat test please let us know and we will be happy to do this.

03-09-2024 Slumber has come to us from a breeder and has arrived here with her friend Sunday. Her eyes show the evidence of having old ulcer scars on them but there is now no active ulcers to treat.  Slumber is very nervous at the moment and shuts down when approached but does allows us to put a lead on her and walks well as long as there is a confident dog walking beside her. Slumber will definately need at least one other dog in her new home and this will help her to settle in her new world and learn about house training as she will watch them and copy what they do. She will need a cat free home.  Slumber will need to be shown a lot of love and kindness from her adopters and will need a calm and gentle adult only home. With love, gentle words of encouragement and praise she will gradually start to realise there is nothing to fear and her adopters will see her start to blossom. Slumber has a PETS travel document.

03-12-24 UPDATE

Today I got the pleasure of spending some quality time with this delightful little husky.
Seeing how far she’s come since coming in always feels so rewarding, as the last time I met her she was completely unsure and withdrawn getting through day by day with no real joy or excitement and she just never really enjoyed the company of people,
However, this tiny little husky is learning just how to live a real life, and although still weary of people initially she rather enjoys to get out of her kennel and walks on lead cautiously but none the less she’s making real progress.
She will comfortably sit with you, curiously watching and even letting you fuss her and groom that beautiful husky coat.
It’s time this amazing little lost soul gets some attention. If you have a calm house with mature people and love to give, don’t overlook this gentle girl because she’s destined to make some one's life, feel whole again !

19-01-2025 UPDATE

Slumber is a darling little girl who is coming on slowly and steady. She's walking on a harness but can get spooked easily when there’s a sudden noise or movement. She's ventured down to our big yard where she’s had the zoomies a few times but the majority of the time she is down there she sticks to her kennel mums side. She's a funny little girl who actually has such a big personality that only comes out when she thinks you’re not looking. She will still need a resident dog in her new home to help build her confidence, keep her company and also play with her when her crazy personality comes out. She would love a nice secure garden she can spend her days running around and using it as a safe space until she overcomes her fears. This dainty little lady has been over looked for so long I really hope she finds her new home soon.

14-02-25 UPDATE

How is it time to do another update on this beautiful girl? Slumber is currently working on lead walking and building her confidence while walking on the road near big scary things like trucks/lorry’s she’s been doing such and amazing job and trying her very best but still needs a little more time for that confidence to rise. I feel that we are coming to the end of what we can achieve here and really do feel that being loved in a home will really aid Slumbers confidence. If you are on the fence about adopting Slumber please send that application in as you will not regret it as she is such a gentle and loving soul.

Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
